## Summary

The procurement process for ADHD Services for Adults, managed by NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board (ICB), has reached the award stage with a contract awarded to Ciconia Recovery Ltd. The procurement is classified under miscellaneous health services, tailored for delivery within the UK region of UKJ1. The procurement was executed as a direct award under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, specifically through Direct Award Process B, bypassing the need for a competitive tender. The contract started on 1st April 2026, and will initially span 24 months, with provisions for two potential extensions of 12 months each. The process focussed on ensuring the continuity, capacity, quality, and availability of services without engaging Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provisions.

This contract offers opportunities for businesses involved in health services, particularly those specialising in adult ADHD treatment. Companies like Ciconia Recovery Ltd, which caters to healthcare needs and has been identified as capable of delivering targeted services, are particularly well-positioned. The contract's structure supports providers focusing on customised care, given the cost-per-case payment system underpinning the financial arrangements. Businesses that can leverage existing clinical pathways to enhance patient choice stand to benefit significantly, as this highlights a key selection criterion by the NHS Thames Valley ICB. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with scalable solutions and a focus on bespoke ADHD services are likely to find growth opportunities within the described framework.
