The procurement process involves the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust as the buying organisation, seeking the provision of outsourced radiology reporting services, categorised under medical imaging services. Located in the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care System, this tender is at the 'award' stage, with the announcement made on 18 June 2026. The standstill period commenced on 15 June 2026. The contract follows the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023 and covers routine and emergency reporting across various imaging modalities such as Plain Film, CT, and MRI. The procurement method is a limited procedure, executed without prior publication of a call for competition, utilising the NHS Supply Chain framework.

This tender opportunity, valued at £8,973,877, primarily benefits businesses like radiology service providers and telehealth companies. It offers a substantial contract lasting three years with potential extensions, encouraging stable growth for suppliers like small or medium-sized enterprises. By participating in such frameworks, businesses can expand their services into public healthcare sectors, particularly where advanced imaging and prompt reporting are critical. Organisations with strong technical expertise, quality assurance, and sustainable practices will have an advantageous position in meeting the tender's evaluation criteria, which emphasise technical and quality factors (60%) and competitive pricing (40%).
