## Summary

The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust has completed the award stage of the procurement process for the supply of a Cryo Machine and compatible Cryo probes for ophthalmic services. This contract, valued at approximately £232,500 excluding VAT, will be supplied by Rayner Intraocular Lenses Limited. The procurement was conducted through a direct award due to the need for equipment compatible with existing systems at the Sussex Eye Hospital, ensuring service continuity amidst refurbishment and increasing patient demands. The procurement falls under the industry categories of specialist optical instruments and laboratory, optical, and precision equipment. The buyer's location is Worthing, and it operates under the central government public authority classification.
