## Summary

The NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for domiciliary care services to Elite Care Homes Ltd under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This contract is classified under the community health services category and pertains to the delivery of care packages. The contract, which does not guarantee a specific level of activity and depends on the services delivered, will run from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027. It was procured through a limited procurement method, specifically through a direct award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition, and falls outside the application of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This procurement process was initiated by the NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB All Age Continuing Healthcare Team. The care services will be provided within the regions UKG31 and UKG32, primarily focusing on domiciliary care packages.

This contract presents significant business opportunities for organisations specialising in the provision of domiciliary care services. Companies with expertise in community health services and experience in personalised patient care will find this contract especially suitable for expanding their business. The direct award nature of the procurement method indicates the importance of established relationships and proven service quality. SMEs in the health services sector could find this opportunity particularly beneficial, potentially allowing them to cement their reputation with the NHS and grow their service offerings in the West Midlands region, specifically within Birmingham and Solihull.
