The Councils manage thousands of trees including those on the highway, parks and open spaces, Countryside areas, Social Services establishments, car parks, schools and Estates land. In order to fulfil its duty of care it seeks to continue to assess and maintain trees in its ownership with regards to their health and structural integrity. In addition, the Councils undertake landscape maintenance work for external clients including some of the major housing developers across South Wales. The framework will encompass a wide range of tree survey and maintenance services for existing trees as well as the supply of trees and shrubs.
