The Council are responsible for clearing all publicly owned ground of litter, including along highways where traffic management services may be required in order to ensure operatives can safely carry out their duties. Traffic management services are also required along certain roads where the Councils undertake grass cutting and other maintenance services. In addition, the Council carries out periodic grass cutting and street sweeping along certain high speed roads on behalf of West Sussex County Council. The Council has mainly required traffic management on the A23, A264, A2011 and A2220 high speed dual carriageways in the past; however, this is not exclusive of any other roads that may require traffic management measures during the contract term. The Commencement Date for the delivery of the services is scheduled to be on 01 October 2026 at 00:00 hours.
