## Summary

The London Borough of Harrow is initiating a public procurement process for Homecare (Domiciliary) Services, a project currently at the planning stage. This process aims to commission home care and support services for adults and young people in Harrow. The focus is on providing services like short-term reablement care for adults over 18 and support for children and young individuals with disabilities aged up to 18. The procurement process follows a market engagement step, with a meeting planned for 23rd July 2026 via MS Teams. The planning is scheduled to conclude by 18th September 2026. This contract is relevant to the health and social work services industry, and it is open to companies located in the United Kingdom, specifically targeting the UKI74 region.

This tender offers significant opportunities for growth, particularly for SMEs and VCSEs capable of delivering community-based regulated care. Companies specialising in health and social care services that can assist in maintaining autonomy and quality of life for individuals will find this contract appealing due to its substantial value of up to £192 million. With the contract duration set from July 2027 to June 2030, and potential for renewal, the project provides a prolonged period for business engagement and continuity in service delivery. Engaging in this tender process fosters a relationship with a public authority that is characterised by facilitating independence and enhancing care outcomes for vulnerable community members, and thus, presents an invaluable chance for specialists in the sector.
