## Summary

The Lake District National Park Authority is preparing a Countryside Land Management and Estate Maintenance Framework, which is currently at the planning stage. This initiative focuses on maintaining and improving access in the Lake District, supporting projects such as Rights of Way and nature recovery. The procurement spans various services, including bridge construction, footpath creation, and environmental improvement works. The open procedure for this framework is set to close on 30th September 2026, with contract activities starting in April 2027. The main location for these services is in the UKD1 region, within the United Kingdom. Significant industry categories involved include construction work for bridges, tree nursery products, and environmental training services.

This tender presents numerous opportunities for businesses equipped to handle tasks such as construction, maintenance, and environmental consultancy. Companies that specialise in bridge building, landscaping, and ecological management are particularly well-suited. The framework agreement allows for competition both with and without reopening, giving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) ample opportunities to engage. This initiative supports sustainable development and heritage conservation, offering participating businesses the potential to become integral partners in enhancing the Lake District’s viability and visitor experience. The scope for diverse service provision suggests robust participation across sectors related to construction, environmental consultancy, and equipment supply, fostering significant business growth.
