## Summary

Birmingham City Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for a new Adults’ Social Care Case Management System. The organisation is focusing on industry category goods, specifically software packages and information systems. The procurement process involves a Preliminary Market Engagement to gather insights into available technologies, costs, and commercial offerings. Interested businesses should note the crucial deadline of 16th July 2026 at 12 noon for submitting their questionnaire responses, which are essential for the Council's decision-making regarding future procurement exercises. The involvement is based in Birmingham, UK, with correspondence managed through the Council's e-tendering system.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in software systems, with an emphasis on solutions suitable for social care management. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are well-positioned to compete, given the procurement strategy's suitability criteria. Successful engagement could lead to future contracts commencing on 1st April 2027, running until 31st March 2035. The initiative allows industry players to influence the Council's procurement approach through participation in market engagement activities, thereby fostering potential business growth and collaboration.
