The new positioner is required for work manipulation and welding of large components up to 3m3 with the ability to maintain constant welding speeds up to 2m/min along complex toolpaths. The Cyan-tec disk laser welding machine currently installed within the Nuclear Manufacturing Group (NMG), has had its original two-axis positioner, which was originally supplied with the machine at installation, removed.
