## Summary

The Forestry Commission is presently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "North District - Peatland Restoration Framework." Situated within the United Kingdom, specifically Bristol, this project falls under the category of services focusing on agricultural, forestry, horticultural, aquacultural, and apicultural services. The initiative seeks to engage the market for a framework aimed at restoring peatlands across various sites. Prospective bidders are invited to express their interest and contribute feedback on the project's feasibility by 10th July 2026. The procurement process, identified by the document ID 061794-2026, has a scheduled contract period from 5th October 2026 to 4th October 2030, with an estimated contract value of £9,600,000 gross (£8,000,000 net).

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in environmental and restoration services, including tasks such as tree and scrub removal, hydrological restoration, and site protection. Its suitability for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) is noteworthy, making it an attractive proposition for businesses looking to expand their portfolio in public sector projects. Engaging with this procurement process could provide valuable experience and networking in the government contracting sphere, particularly for companies with innovative techniques in environmental restoration. The framework agreement also offers a multi-year engagement, ensuring a stable revenue stream for the successful bidders.
