## Summary

Swindon Borough Council is currently at the planning stage of a public procurement process for a "Residential On-Street EV Charging Concession (LEVI)." This initiative, located in Swindon, United Kingdom, focuses on the deployment of local, primarily low-power, on-street charging infrastructure across England. The industry category primarily involves installation services of electrical and mechanical equipment, electrical equipment and apparatus, and electrical installation work. The preliminary market engagement is scheduled to receive supplier feedback to refine the tender specifications and commercial model. Key deadlines include the submission of the Preliminary Market Engagement Questionnaire by 27th July 2026. The initial contract term is expected to commence on 1st April 2027 with a duration of 15 years, extendable by an additional year, with a total budget of £18 million gross, of which £1.942 million will be funded through LEVI.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in electrical installation and equipment. Companies capable of delivering low-power EV charging infrastructure and capitalising on the commercial potential within this sector could find this process particularly lucrative. Businesses that are adept at navigating concession contracts and have a vision for substantial investment and commercialisation in local charging infrastructure will be well-positioned to compete. The project's long duration and potential for profitable returns make it attractive for firms looking to expand their market presence and engage in sustainable initiatives within the green technology domain.
