The Met Office wishes to investigate a new approach to cyber and physical security awareness training. The new approach aims to provide staff with a solid security awareness induction, regular basic awareness and refresher training on core and emerging topics, and role-specific advanced security awareness for specialist roles such as developers, engineers, privileged users, help desk and executives. The training and awareness programme may incorporate curated learning pathways/courses, regular bitesized training, and ad hoc browsable content. ### Planning Information

The Met Office wishes to explore the marketplace to undertake early market engagement with potential suppliers who could align themselves with the Met Office's strategic ambitions to deliver the best and most cost-effective cyber & physical security awareness training. 
A new cyber & physical security awareness training contract is expected to commence in December 2026, the contract will be for 2 years with the option to extend for 1 additional year. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be under Met Office's standard service terms and conditions or if using a framework those specified by the framework. The Met Office reserves the right to discontinue this process.
