## Summary

The public procurement process for the provision of Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Studies has reached the award stage, as indicated by the intention to award notice dated 7th July 2026. This procurement falls under the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime rather than the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, indicating a specialised approach due to the industry category of nephrology or nervous system specialist services. Conducted by the Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, located in Wirral, United Kingdom, the contract is poised to be awarded to MediServices Healthcare Ltd. Businesses interested in this sector should note that representations by providers are due by Friday, 17th July 2026. The process used a limited procurement method without a call for competition and has taken into account specific performance criteria such as quality, value, and social aspects.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the health services industry, particularly those specialising in nephrology or nervous system services. Companies with a focus on quality and innovation, value, and those capable of integrating services while addressing social value and reducing health inequalities are well-suited to compete. With an estimated annual contract value of £143,000, the tender offers growth potential for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) like MediServices Healthcare Ltd, who can deliver high-standard medical diagnostic services. Engaging in such contracts could allow businesses to strengthen their market presence and expand within the healthcare sector in the UK.
