## Summary

The procurement process is being carried out by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon & Somerset, with the current stage being planning, using a tender initiation type. The procurement focus is on "Specialist Police Vehicle Conversions" under the services category, targeting the conversion of up to 40 police vehicles, including various types such as roads policing vehicles and armed response vehicles. The location for the project is the United Kingdom, specifically within the region denoted as UKK. Currently, the process is at the pre-market engagement stage, where interested suppliers are invited to participate by 17 July 2026, to discuss their capabilities and input on the project's requirements.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in vehicle conversion and reconditioning services, especially those with expertise in emergency service and police vehicles. The procurement is ideal for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capable of demonstrating technical expertise, capacity, and experience in this niche area. Engaging in this tender could allow such businesses to expand their portfolio into government contracts, gain visibility with significant public sector clients, and establish a foothold in the market for specialist vehicle conversions.
