## Summary

The Defence Equipment and Support, part of the UK Ministry of Defence, is initiating a potential procurement process for the project titled "C-UAS Electronic Warfare" under the main category of defence equipment. This planning stage involves a preliminary market engagement to assess the Electronic Warfare marketplace within the UK. The process invites submissions to aid Operation Scorpius, focusing on Electronic Warfare Capability areas. Interested parties should submit their responses in PDF format by 10th August 2026. The engagement is located in Bristol, UK, and involves sourcing equipment to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for businesses involved in security and defence equipment to engage with a central government authority on an international initiative. Companies specialising in soldier-portable, vehicle-hosted, or emplaced electronic systems would find this project particularly suited to their expertise. Furthermore, the procurement of novel and resilient Electronic Warfare systems aligns with the broader goal of strengthening support to Ukraine, offering potential growth and collaboration opportunities for firms equipped to meet these demands.

## Notice

Introduction 1. 'Operation Scorpius' is an initiative that was established in February 2022, to bring together various teams from different parts of the MoD to coordinate its various activities in support of Ukraine. Taskforce Kindred (TFK), a team of MoD staff within Operation Scorpius, manages the response to requests from the Armed Forces Ukraine (AFU) and works with DE&S to source the required equipment. 2.TFK have a requirement to understand the current EW marketplace in the UK to provide continued and resilient EW capability to the AFU. Therefore, in consultation with the AFU, TFK has agreed that EWBR1 procurement will focus on Electronic Warfare (EW) Capability and will concentrate efforts on the following System Configurations: EWBR1-a: Soldier-Portable / Worn; or, EWBR1-b: Vehicle Hosted; or, EWBR1-c: UxV-Hosted; or, EWBR1-d: Emplaced. 3.This Request for Information (RFI) is only seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) regarding the C-UAS Electronic Warfare System Capability Area For further information please see link below https://contracts.mod.uk/esop/guest/go/opportunity/detail?opportunityId=61270
