## Summary

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is currently engaged in the planning stage of a procurement process for an IT system dedicated to Parking Services. This early stage is marked by pre-market engagement to explore existing solutions and emerging technologies in the sector. The procurement is classified under the software package and information systems, as well as parking enforcement services, indicating a focus on the integration of innovative IT solutions and service management. Located in London, specifically The Woolwich Centre, the procurement exercise is part of a broader strategy to enhance parking services throughout the borough. The engagement phase has a scheduled milestone on 24th July 2026, which involves suppliers submitting a Request for Information to help shape the future procurement strategy by providing insights into current market capabilities and technologies.

This tender presents an exceptional opportunity for businesses specialising in IT solutions, particularly those that offer comprehensive, innovative parking service systems. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can find a viable avenue for growth, especially those equipped with sophisticated software solutions that support statutory parking enforcement and management functions. The procurement process highlights a particular interest in understanding supplier capabilities, product roadmaps, and innovative features that can aid in improving service delivery. By engaging with the Royal Borough of Greenwich at this stage, businesses can position themselves as key stakeholders in potentially shaping a significant municipal service. Participation in this strategic engagement could lead to long-term partnerships through future contracts, which are planned to commence in mid-2027 with possible extensions through 2032.
