## Summary

Manchester City Council is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process for the 'A Bed Every Night' (ABEN) programme, which aims to deliver accommodation and support to individuals at risk of rough sleeping in Manchester. This initiative requires the provision of 168 accommodation units in the city, with the contracting process being prepared for the financial years 2027/28 and 2028/29. A market engagement event is scheduled to take place on 23rd July 2026 from 2pm to 3:30pm at The Friends Meeting House in Manchester. The engagement will provide an opportunity for potential providers to gain insights into the upcoming reprocurement of ABEN services, valued at approximately £10.52 million gross. The procurement belongs to the services category, and providers interested in participating can reach out via the provided contact information.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in social work services with accommodation. Companies specialising in providing support for vulnerable populations will find this tender particularly attractive, given the specific needs of the ABEN programme. The procurement process is designed to assess the provider market, enabling businesses with the necessary expertise and resources to secure long-term contracts. The planned services will be essential in addressing homelessness challenges faced by the city, thereby providing a platform for firms to demonstrate their capability and commitment to social responsibility. The openness of the market engagement indicates that Manchester City Council seeks innovative solutions, potentially leading to business expansion and greater impact in the social services sector.
