## Summary

The procurement process led by NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB) entails an award for a community pharmacy independent prescribing service aimed at addressing minor illnesses. The service falls under the health services category and targets the region designated as UKK12. The purchase was executed through a limited procurement method, specifically a Provider Selection Regime (PSR), which does not require prior publication of a call for competition. The contracting process is in the award stage, with the intention to award the contract officialised on 15th July 2026. Interested providers have until 27th July 2026 to submit any representations during the standstill period before the 12-month contract duration commences from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027, with a total contract value of £49,355.

This tender offers growth opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, specifically those with capabilities in pharmacy practice and independent prescribing. Organisations like H. A. McParland Limited, the awarded supplier, have the chance to leverage their expertise in community pharmacy settings to deliver enhanced services like minor illness management. Businesses adept at providing innovative, quality-driven healthcare solutions, focusing on integration, social value, and reducing health inequalities, are particularly suited to benefit from such contracts. The focus on service sustainability and the enhancement of patient choice further incentivises participation from small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) keen on expanding their service portfolio in the South, Central and West regions of the UK.
