## Summary

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is inviting tenders for a National Framework Agreement for Secure Patient Transport Services, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and its amendments. The framework, initially scheduled from November 2024 to November 2026, is currently active and has been extended for one year with the potential for another year's extension ending in November 2027. The framework, classified under health services, will support mental health patient transport across various NHS and local authorities throughout the UK. Potential participants can submit their applications until 17 August 2026, with the tender process conducted via an open procurement method allowing up to 999 participants, potentially including electronic auctions in subsequent competitions.

This tender offers substantial business growth opportunities, especially for companies specialising in patient transport, health services, and related support services. With an estimated value of £25,000,000 GBP for high-quality, secure patient transport services, businesses skilled in providing professional care, compliant with NICE guidance, and capable of operating an efficient booking and reporting system are ideal candidates. The framework’s scope and recurring nature mean that even if not initially selected, businesses can potentially join later as it reopens annually for new applicants. This opportunity is particularly appealing for businesses aiming to expand their operations across the public sector and work with multiple health authorities across both England and Wales.
