The service will provide a short-term, intensive, recovery-focused residential alternative to hospital admission for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis. The aim of the service is to support crisis stabilisation, promote recovery, reduce avoidable inpatient admissions, facilitate earlier discharge from hospital where appropriate, and enable individuals to remain connected to their local communities and support networks. The service will form part of the wider acute mental health pathway and will work closely with Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams, statutory services and third-sector organisations to ensure integrated and person-centred support.
