## Summary

Liverpool John Moores University is initiating a procurement process for a "Placement Reflection and Signposting Solution" in the healthcare industry. This process is currently in the planning stage, aiming to address the needs of students on healthcare placements by offering advanced feedback and support systems. The university seeks to implement a solution to enhance student experiences across their diverse placement settings. Organisations involved are required to submit a Request for Information (RFI) by 12 noon on 7th August 2026. The solution is aimed at the education and health services sectors within the UKD72 region, with an anticipated contract period from 1st February 2027 to 31st January 2030, extendable up to 2031. This initiative is seen as a critical component under the public authority's sub-central government procurement category, classified under education and training, as well as health services.

This tender presents substantial business opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in educational and healthcare services, software development, and data analytics capable of facilitating timely feedback mechanisms and behavioural analyses. Smaller enterprises with innovative technologies in student experience enhancement or behavioural analytics stand to benefit greatly from this contract. By engaging in this procurement process, businesses can expand into the educational support services sector, gaining a foothold in providing tailored solutions that can improve student retention and support during healthcare placements.

## Notice

LJMU recognises the need to support students when they are on healthcare placements. These students are working in various placement settings, and it is recognised that obtaining dynamic feedback needs to reflect the variety and diversity of these settings. Early identification and intervention are to key to both retention and the ability to offer targeted and appropriate support to students whilst on placement. An excellent student experience is key to LJMU success, and the University strives to improve this through targeted and proactive support. LJMU have identified a need to provide a solution that can be rolled out and supports timely and supported intervention triggered by student need. The solution needs to highlight patterns of behaviours at multiple levels to ensure actions are initiated and recorded.
