## Summary

The procurement process for "Fall Arrest Equipment Testing, Maintenance and Repairs" was conducted by Aster Group Limited, a housing association responsible for maintaining approximately 37,000 homes across the south of England and London. The procurement, classified under system maintenance services, aimed at ensuring the safety of multi-storey property maintenance through the upkeep of fall-arrest equipment. The process reached the Award stage and was finalised on 22 July 2026. The procurement was conducted via a Direct Award, without prior competition, through the NHS SBS Framework - Lot 7.1. The chosen supplier, Harmony Fire Limited, will provide services across 38 sites in the UK.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities, particularly for businesses specialising in safety equipment maintenance services. Large organisations with the capability to service multiple sites and adhere to the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Act would be ideally positioned to compete, especially given the significant health and safety implications tied to this contract. Although the award process has been concluded with a single supplier, understanding such tenders can prepare companies for future opportunities under similar categories and frameworks.
