## Summary

The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership has completed a direct award procurement process for the collection of plain x-ray imaging data under the NJR contract. This initiative, titled "NJR Collection of plain x-ray imaging data," is situated in the healthcare services industry category and involves a detailed discovery and design phase by NEC Software Solutions UK Limited. Based at Buzzacott LLP, London, the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership spearheaded this effort to establish groundwork for forthcoming national rollout. The project's start and end dates are scheduled for 10th August 2026 to 30th November 2026, with an extended option until 28th February 2027, indicating its current status as a completed award. The contract, valued at £40,600 excluding VAT (£48,720 including VAT), follows a direct procurement method due to existing workflows with NEC.

This tender offers a unique opportunity for businesses specialising in healthcare data management and solutions, especially those experienced in integrating complex technical environments. The pilot's focus on architecture, integration design, and information governance will provide valuable insights for stakeholders. While NEC Software Solutions, a large-scale supplier, was selected for this award, the initiative underlines opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) to engage in similar future projects, particularly those with a strategic alignment in health services and data collection.
