## Summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for an online platform aimed at facilitating students' preparation for higher education and apprenticeships. This initiative, scheduled for procurement during the 2026–2027 academic year, seeks to provide a comprehensive platform accessible to students and staff across Caerphilly's nine secondary schools. The contract is valued at £60,000 with the expectation to engage service from 1st August 2027 until 31st August 2029. Interested suppliers are requested to submit their expression of interest outlining their solution and any relevant security standards by 17th August 2026. The proposed platform will cater to the education sector and is to be implemented in the United Kingdom, specifically within the region of UKL16.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in software package and information systems, particularly those with experience in educational technology solutions. Companies that can offer a dynamic and comprehensive system to guide students through educational pathways would be ideally suited for this opportunity. The tender is particularly favourable for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), given its suitability criteria. By participating in this contract, businesses can expand their portfolio in the educational sector and establish a prominent presence in the public sector market.
