## Summary

The procurement process for "The Supply of Batteries and associated items" is being managed by LEIDOS SUPPLY, LIMITED, located in Bristol, as the buying organisation. This upcoming tender involves the supply and inventory management of batteries, with procurement planning being conducted as part of the UK Ministry of Defence's logistics commodities and services transformation (LCS(T)). The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with an estimated contract value ranging from £66.4 million to £166 million (excluding VAT). The procurement category is goods, specifically focusing on batteries, and the contract period is planned to run from 17th May 2033 to 15th May 2037. A Preliminary Market Engagement Notice is scheduled to be issued on 10th October 2028 to further inform potential suppliers.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in battery production and supply chain management, particularly those capable of meeting governmental standards within the UK. Given the significant contract value and the long-term nature of the agreement, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in the manufacturing of various types of batteries, such as lead batteries, could find significant growth opportunities. The involvement of Team Leidos as a key player in transforming logistics services for the Ministry of Defence means that businesses engaged in logistics and supply chain management are also well-positioned to compete for participation in this initiative.
