## Summary

The procurement process titled "The Supply of Timber" is initiated by Leidos Supply, Limited, acting on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence as part of the Logistics Commodities and Services Transformation (LCS(T)) programme. The contracting activity is currently in the planning stage as of 29th July 2026, with plans to issue a Preliminary Market Engagement Notice before the tender is officially launched. This procurement, occurring within the "goods" category, is specifically focused on timber supply, with the contract expected to run from 7th July 2033 to 7th July 2037. The estimated contract value ranges from £4,800,000 to £14,400,000, inclusive of VAT. Key locations for delivery are across the United Kingdom, and suppliers can expect further engagement opportunities beginning on 5th February 2029.

This upcoming tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in timber supply, particularly those aligned with providing large-scale goods to the public authority - central government sector. Given the procurement's notable financial scale, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate as the project acknowledges SMEs' suitability. The procurement method offers an open platform for potential suppliers to engage early in the process, allowing them to influence the development of strategies suited to their strengths and capabilities. Businesses capable of competitive pricing, efficient logistics, and expertise in timber will find this contract especially advantageous for growth and expanding their market presence.
