## Summary

Bristol City Council is in the planning stage of a public procurement process titled "Respite Rooms," aimed at providing short-term accommodation and support for women facing multiple disadvantages such as homelessness and domestic abuse. The procurement pertains to the services industry category, specifically housing and social work. Located in Bristol, South West England, the initiative is designed to be completed during the period from 1st April 2027 to 31st March 2029. A market engagement event is scheduled for 19th August 2026 from 14:00 to 15:00 via Microsoft Teams, with a deadline for questions by 14th August 2026. The procurement is funded by the Homelessness, Rough Sleeping, and Domestic Abuse Grant and includes specialist support funded by Public Health, with gross value amounting to £903,600.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for providers specialising in housing services and social work. Companies with experience in delivering trauma-informed support and capable of operating a facility with approximately 10-12 beds will find this opportunity well-suited to their capabilities. The procurement process invites businesses that can integrate multi-disciplinary approaches to support services, ensuring women have a pathway to sustainable accommodation solutions. Engaging in this tender could enhance an organisation’s portfolio in public sector commissioning and community welfare services.
