## Summary

The NHS Surrey and Sussex Integrated Care Board has recently awarded a contract for a Community Vasectomy Service at Greystone House Surgery in Redhill, East Surrey. The contract was awarded through Direct Award Process C in compliance with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This contract does not fall under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This award, confirmed by the Board's Executive Committee in May 2026, spans from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2028, with an estimated value of £113,000. The service, provided by The House Partnership, centres on offering non-scalpel vasectomy (NSV) procedures, endorsed by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as a less invasive sterilisation method, ensuring high-quality patient care and access across the region.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare services and clinical operations, particularly those with expertise in family-planning services. The direct award of this contract highlights the importance of consistently meeting high service standards and the capability to integrate seamlessly with local healthcare networks, which can open up further collaboration and partnership prospects. SMEs with similar capabilities and a focus on innovative, cost-effective healthcare delivery may find opportunities to expand or diversify their services by aligning with such government initiatives. The emphasis on promoting equitable access and sustainability resonates with current trends and priorities in public health care, making it an advantageous space for businesses committed to contributing to local health and social value. The procurement method used ensures a streamlined process, potentially minimising competition and expediting engagement for those already aligned with strategic health objectives in the area.
