## Summary

The procurement process is being managed by The Common Services Agency, commonly known as Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). The tender is titled "Digital Temperature and Humidity Data Loggers" under the industry category of Measuring and Control Equipment. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a future notice expected on 7th August 2026. The project aims to replace the existing fleet of data loggers for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS), including software, support, and calibration services. The specified location for this procurement is within the UKM region. Bidders are required to provide equipment that supports temperature ranges of -196°C to +80°C and relative humidity monitoring between 10% and 80% RH, among other technical specifications.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in high-tech instrumentation, especially those with experience in manufacturing digital temperature and humidity data loggers. Companies that can offer advanced cloud-based or on-premises monitoring solutions with a preference for digital probe technology would find themselves well-positioned to compete. There is particular interest from SNBTS in solutions that support a calibration exchange service, allowing for seamless operational continuity. The procurement method outlined, governed by the guidelines of the EU Directive (2014/24/EU), suggests a structured and transparent process, providing a robust opportunity for vendors looking to expand their footprint in the public health sector.

## Notice

Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) intends to procure a range of temperature and humidity data loggers to replace their existing fleet together with associated software, support and calibration services

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) intends to procure a replacement fleet of digital temperature and humidity data loggers, together with associated software, support and calibration services. The solution must support temperature monitoring across a range of-196degC to +80degC and, where required, relative humidity monitoring between 10% and 80% RH. The system should support both analogue and digital probes, with a preference for digital probe technology, and provide local display, configurable alarms, audit functionality and connectivity to cloud-based or on-premises monitoring platforms. Equipment must be CE/UKCA marked and support calibration to UKAS-accredited ISO/IEC 17025 standards. SNBTS is particularly interested in solutions that support a digital probe calibration exchange service, allowing calibrated replacement probes to be exchanged without removing the logger from service. The service should include UKAS-traceable calibration, provision of "as found" calibration reports, and ongoing lifecycle support to minimise operational downtime.
