## Summary

Leeds City Council is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process titled 'Locks and Keys Supply.' This initiative falls under the industry category of tools, locks, keys, hinges, fasteners, chain, and springs, and is designated for the public authority and sub-central government sectors. The process is taking place in Leeds, United Kingdom (region: UKE42). A crucial milestone in this process includes a pre-market engagement form that prospective contractors must submit via the Jaggaer website by 18th August 2026. The contract is expected to commence on 1st February 2027 and can extend up to February 2031, with an estimated annual value of up to £310,000 and a total value of up to £1,240,000. This tender is being conducted as an above-threshold procurement under the Procurement Act 2023.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in the manufacturing and supply of locks, keys, and related components to expand their operations. Companies that specialise in supplying secure locking mechanisms that meet British Standards and Secure by Design principles will find this contract particularly attractive. The focus on SME and VCSE suitability indicates an inclusive approach, encouraging smaller and community-focused businesses to participate. Companies equipped to provide integrated keying systems, including standard, keyed alike, and master key configurations, will be well-positioned to compete. This contract offers a stable, potentially profitable partnership with a large public sector organisation, as it caters to ongoing lock and key requirements across council properties in Leeds.
