## Summary

Plymouth City Council, a sub-central government public authority, is currently in the tender stage for its "Intensive Schools Engagement" Programme, aimed at enhancing youth education and promoting sustainable travel. The procurement is classified under industry categories including youth and safety education services. Located in the South West of England, this procurement opportunity invites suppliers to engage in services delivered across the region. The submission deadline is set for 9th September 2026, with enquiry opportunities closing on 26th August 2026. The procurement follows an open procedure, ensuring a wide pool of potential suppliers can participate, while the programme is scheduled to begin on 1st January 2027 and may run until 31st August 2029, with potential extensions based on performance and funding.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in youth education and public transport consultancy to expand within the public sector. Companies that provide training and engagement services would be particularly well-suited to leverage their expertise in active travel promotion. With a contract valued up to £230,400, and a structure allowing SMEs and VCSEs to participate, stakeholders are encouraged to harness this project as a platform to integrate innovative educational approaches and sustainable practices within schools. The alignment with initiatives like 'Plymotion' signifies an interest in collaborative solutions, which can enhance business credibility and footprint in environmentally sustainable education and infrastructure integration. Suppliers can engage through the Supplying the South West Portal, requiring registration and electronic submissions for tender consideration.
