## Summary

The District Council of Folkestone and Hythe is in the planning stage of a procurement process for a contract titled "Oil Heating Servicing and Maintenance for Social Housing 2026." This procurement involves services in the sector of central-heating installation and maintenance and is located in the UK, specifically in the Folkestone region. The process follows an open procurement method, ensuring a competitive environment suitable for various industries. Notable dates include the end of the tender period on 2nd October 2026, with the enquiry period concluding on 21st September 2026. The contract intended to start on 1st April 2027 involves planned maintenance, responsive repairs, and associated works to oil-fired heating systems across 96 domestic properties, with a budget capped at £600,000 gross.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in heat servicing and maintenance, particularly those registered with OFTEC. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this procurement especially appealing due to the council's encouragement of SME participation. The open procedure allows for a competitive selection process, potentially beneficial for industry growth and collaboration with local government. Companies with expertise in installation and repair of central heating systems and those familiar with working alongside public authorities will be well-suited to compete. With a potential renewal clause extending the contract by up to 24 months, this procurement not only promises immediate business opportunities but also offers longer-term engagement possibilities based on performance outcomes.
