## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for West Midlands, located in Birmingham, is currently in the tender stage for a public procurement opportunity entitled "Violence Reduction Partnership Research and Evaluation." This initiative seeks consultancy services within the research and development and evaluation consultancy sector, focusing on the UKG region. The procurement process is open and under the category "services," with a submission deadline on 28 August 2026, while the enquiry period closes on 21 August 2026. The total estimated budget for this project is £250,000, with potential contracts extending until March 2027 and possibly further if funded. The legal basis for this procurement is aligned with UK legislation 2023/54.

The procurement offers three lots, each presenting unique opportunities for businesses with expertise in community research, evaluation support, and specialized evaluation within policing and serious violence. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to participate. Companies that can provide innovative research methodologies and have experience working with community stakeholders will benefit from the structured support and potential for long-term engagement with the Commissioner’s office. The emphasis on quality, weighted at 80%, suggests a significant focus on high-standard deliverables, making this an attractive prospect for firms aiming to establish or expand their footprint in public sector consultancy services related to violence reduction and community safety.
