## Summary

NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board is commissioning a longer-term therapeutic treatment service for children and young people aged 17 and under who are survivors of sexual abuse or sexual exploitation. The service will provide therapeutic support to children, young people and their non-abusing parents or carers, helping to reduce impacts on mental health and emotional wellbeing, build resilience, reduce vulnerability to further abuse and develop healthy, trusting relationships. It will also support access to specialist services, provide smooth transitions where needs change, and improve emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing. Providers must tailor support to individual needs, including appropriate adaptations for people with protected characteristics. Delivery is in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

The process has reached tender: the ICB invited offers through an open procedure, run as a competitive process under the Provider Selection Regime. Bids had to be submitted electronically or in writing by 9 September 2026 at 4pm, with the bid opening and award period starting at that time. The contract is valued at £622,323 and covers a single service. It is due to start on 1 February 2027 for an initial 14-month term, with an option to extend by up to 12 months. Bids must be in English and remain valid for 720 days. Variants are not allowed. An affordability threshold applies, and bids exceeding the relevant threshold will be disqualified.

This opportunity suits established therapeutic and healthcare providers with relevant experience supporting children and young people affected by sexual abuse or exploitation. Suitable organisations will need the clinical capability to deliver longer-term therapeutic interventions, assess mental health and emotional wellbeing needs, promote resilience and reduce vulnerability to further abuse. They should be able to work effectively with non-abusing parents and carers, make referrals or transitions to specialist services, and coordinate a seamless experience across services. Providers will need to build trusted relationships with children and young people, support improved emotional, psychological and physical wellbeing, and adapt delivery for individual needs and protected characteristics. The requirement is suited to providers able to manage a child-focused service across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
