The requirement covers removing or refurbishing old play areas and associated surfaces, equipment and fencing; hard and soft landscaping; installing new play equipment and safety surfaces; and associated tarmac, fencing and painting works. Safety surfaces must comply with the specifications and BS EN 1176 and BS EN 1177 standards.
