The scope is divided into specialist supply routes including plumbing, heating and gas materials; electrical materials; general building materials; aids and adaptations; renewable and retrofit materials; kitchen materials; and managed, on-demand and technology-supported supply. It also includes materials supplied through buying groups and independent merchant consortia, branch networks and van-stock management solutions. The framework is intended for customers across the UK, with dedicated routes for Scottish and Welsh customers alongside national routes. The main procurement category is goods, classified as building materials. Community benefit requirements apply, and subcontracting requirements will be identified at call-off level. The procurement has reached tender: the buyer invited offers through an open procedure for a framework agreement. The framework can appoint up to 20 participants and is divided into 16 lots, covering national, Scottish and Welsh supply routes and specialist services. The estimated total value is £1,538,000,000. Relevant capabilities include reliable ranges of plumbing, heating, gas, electrical, building, kitchen, bathroom, renewable-energy and retrofit products, as well as aids and adaptations. Suppliers may also be well placed where they operate branch networks, provide on-demand delivery, support managed stores or services, manage van stock, or offer point-of-sale and industry-specific technology. Specialist suppliers for solar, heat pumps, ventilation, boilers, cables, lighting, alarms, kitchens and related products can target suitable lots. The framework also accommodates national consortia for independent merchants. Businesses should be able to demonstrate quality alongside competitive pricing and meet the tender’s stated technical and economic selection requirements. ## Notice Established in 2004, Procurement for Housing (PfH) is a national procurement consortium dedicated to the social housing sector and supported by the National Housing Federation (NHF), Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and HouseMark.
