## Summary

The Education Authority procured managed IT support services for the EAConnect, NISTR and PSEP applications and related developments. The requirement covers live-service support as new Version 1 developments enter production, with the aim of maintaining continuity and customer experience during peak application periods. Activities include cosmetic changes, incident management and performance testing across the applications. This is an IT services requirement covering consulting, software development, internet and support. The contracting authority is the Education Authority, based in Belfast. The service relates to the Authority’s education-focused digital applications and their ongoing operational support, rather than a new software implementation or standalone development project.

The procurement is complete and was run as a limited secondary competition under framework RM1557.14, using an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The single lot was marked cancelled, but an active award was made to Version 1 Solutions Limited. The award date is not stated; the contract was signed on 31 July 2026. The contract value is £1,160,000. One bid was recorded. The award criterion was price. The lot included an option to extend by one further 12-month period. The published outcome therefore records an awarded contract despite the lot status being shown as cancelled.

This outcome indicates demand for suppliers able to provide managed support for live public-sector digital services while new releases move into production. Credible competitors would need practical capability in incident management, application support, performance testing and controlled service changes, together with the capacity to maintain continuity across several customer-facing applications. Experience supporting systems through peak usage periods would be relevant, as would the ability to work alongside delivery partners during transition from development to live operation. The winning route was a secondary competition under an established framework, and the recorded evaluation basis was price, so suppliers would need framework access or a route to participate in comparable competitions, with competitive and transparent pricing.
