## Summary

The Ministry of Defence’s Army Directorate of Digital, Security and Intelligence is engaging industry about the future digital environment for war-fighters. The event will cover protection against emerging threats; information systems, intelligence, surveillance and decision-making capabilities; cyber and electromagnetic activity on the battlefield; digital standards; system integration; and delivery of Army digital services. Discussion will also focus on artificial intelligence enablement and governance, the ASGARD sensor-to-effector network, and resilience across systems and operations. This is information technology services work in the defence and security field, associated with delivery across the United Kingdom, including the South West of England. Senior Army digital, security and intelligence leaders will share priorities and explore potential collaboration with industry.

This process is at the planning and preliminary market-engagement stage, rather than a tender stage. The buyer expects an industry engagement event on 7 October 2026, from 09:30 to 16:30, at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham. Expressions of interest to attend are expected by 9 September 2026, and attendance is subject to confirmation and security-clearance information. Places may be limited to one delegate per company if demand exceeds venue capacity. The buyer expects the next notice to be published on 6 October 2026. One planned lot covers the event and related digital services engagement. No competitive response or contract award is being sought through this process, and attendance is not intended to provide preferential treatment in future opportunities.

This engagement will suit suppliers preparing to work with defence organisations on secure and resilient digital capability, including information systems, intelligence, surveillance, decision-support, cyber security, electromagnetic activity, system integration and Army digital services. It should be relevant to businesses with expertise in artificial intelligence governance and enablement, sensor networks and sensor-to-effector systems, or resilience across complex systems and operations. Suppliers able to explain how their technologies address emerging threats and operate within defined digital standards are likely to find the discussions useful. The event includes opportunities to exchange priorities with senior Army stakeholders and request one-to-one discussions. Attendance offers market insight and preparation for future work, but does not create a current bidding opportunity or competitive advantage.

## Notice

Important: This event is intended to support engagement and information exchange between the Army's Directorate of Digital, Security and intelligence (D DSI) and industry. It is not a procurement activity, and attendance will not provide any organisation with a competitive advantage or preferential treatment in relation to any current or future commercial opportunities. The Dir DSI is bringing together industry partners with its senior leaders to shape the future of the digital environment for our war-fighters. We will cover: 1. The challenge: 1.1 How do we enhance 1.2 Security against emerging Threats 1.3 Information systems, intelligence, surveillance, and decision-making capabilities to the war-fighter 1.4 Cyber and electromagnetic activity on the battlefield 2. The Framework: 2.1 What are our Digital standards and how we conduct system integration 2.2 How we deliver Army digital services 3. Areas of opportunity: 3.1 Artificial Intelligence- enablement and governance 3.2 Sensor to effector network (ASGARD) 3.3 Building resilience across systems and operations On the day you will: 1. Gain insight into Army's future digital direction 2. Explore collaboration opportunities with key stakeholders 3. have the opportunity to take part in 1:1 sessions with senior leaders to discuss mutual priorities and challenges. 4. Hear directly from our 2* Director of Digital, Security and Intelligence (Dir DSI) This is an opportunity to understand where we are heading, and how industry can play a role in delivering the next generation of secure, resilient digital capability.

Spaces are limited due to venue capacity. If the event is oversubscribed, attendance maybe limited to one delegate per company. 
Registrations will remain open until 09 September 2026, after which we will review all expressions of interest and contact applicants with an update. 
Please note that attendance is subject to confirmation. Before a place can be allocated, we will need additional information regarding your security clearance. Following this review, we will confirm whether a place can be offered. If your attendance is confirmed, we will then request further details required for site access and event administration
