## Summary

OMEGA Multi-Academy Trust intends to procure outsourced cleaning services for seven schools: Alsop High School, Great Sankey High School, Bradshaw Primary School, Burton Wood Community Primary School, Chapelford Village Primary School, Park Road Community Primary School and Westbrook Old Hall Primary School. The service is intended to maintain classrooms, corridors and other school areas to a high standard, supporting a clean, orderly environment for teaching and learning. The scope includes consistent day-to-day cleaning, quality assurance, communication with Trust representatives, daily handling of special requirements and comments, and flexibility around Trust activities and key events. This is a school cleaning services requirement, classified under CPV 90919300, managed by OMEGA Multi-Academy Trust with support from Red Box Consultancy Services.

This process is at the planning stage: the Trust has announced an intention to procure, but has not yet invited tenders. It expects to use an above-threshold open procedure and indicates that a framework agreement will be involved. The procurement is planned as one lot and is identified as suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises. The proposed contract period is 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2030, with a possible extension or renewal taking the maximum period to 31 March 2032. The buyer expects the next notice to be published by 30 September 2026. No budget or estimated contract value is stated. The Trust is consulting the market through its stated service aims, particularly quality, consistency, value for money and flexibility.

The requirement will suit established commercial cleaning contractors able to manage services across multiple schools and coordinate a reliable operational team. Relevant suppliers should be able to demonstrate high cleaning standards, robust quality assurance and effective day-to-day supervision. The Trust is looking for clear communication at both local and operations-manager level, including daily interaction with its representative and a dependable process for passing on special needs, comments and changing priorities. Contractors should be able to provide flexible, proactive support during school activities and key events, undertake additional work when required, and adjust cleaning hours to suit operational needs. Capacity planning will matter: the Trust wants staffing levels that maximise completed work, alongside training and development for cleaning teams. The stated aims indicate that quality and partnership will matter alongside price.
