## Summary

The three NHS integrated care boards for Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire are planning a locally designed early-intervention work and health service. It will support people whose health condition or disability affects their ability to remain in work, return to work or move towards work. The service will provide low-intensity, personalised support and connect people at an early stage to suitable health, employment, skills and community provision. Its purpose is to strengthen local work and health pathways, prevent needs from escalating, reduce health-related economic inactivity and improve population health outcomes. The supplier will act as a system integrator across the three areas rather than deliver a standalone programme. This is a health and social work services requirement, classified under CPV 85000000.

This procurement is at the planning stage and currently concerns preliminary market engagement, not an invitation to tender. The authorities expect to use a future competitive procurement process, with the final structure to be confirmed at the invitation-to-tender stage. They anticipate one contract lasting three years, subject to grant funding, with any extension dependent on additional funding. The estimated total value is approximately £10,000,000 across the three integrated care boards. The proposed arrangement may be divided into three territorial lots, one for each board area. A virtual market engagement event is expected on 14 September 2026 from 12:00 to 14:00 via Microsoft Teams. Providers were expected to register by 11 September 2026 at 17:00 using project reference C467756.

The planned service will suit organisations able to design and coordinate integrated work, health, employment, skills and community pathways across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. Relevant providers are likely to include health and wellbeing organisations, employment support specialists, social enterprises, charities, community organisations and partnerships combining these capabilities. Strong candidates will be able to offer personalised early intervention for people with health conditions or disabilities, work effectively across local systems and connect individuals to appropriate services rather than provide isolated support. The authorities are seeking market views on delivery feasibility, available capacity and capability, innovation opportunities and potential constraints. Suppliers with experience of system integration, population health improvement and reducing health-related economic inactivity should prepare to explain how their model would operate across multiple NHS areas.
