This opportunity suits tree surgeons, arboricultural contractors and forestry-service businesses able to carry out safety-critical work in public spaces. Relevant capability includes safe chainsaw operations, tree felling, hazardous and diseased-tree clearance, dead-wood removal, crown reduction and crown lifting. Suppliers should be able to manage footpath closures and, where required, traffic control with stop/go boards, traffic lights and a banksman. Access to towed or self-propelled tracked or wheeled chippers, together with trained operatives, is needed for several sites. Experience, skills and qualifications are assessed alongside communication, price and locality, so firms with a demonstrable local operating base and clear client communication may be well placed.
