## Summary

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office is buying locally sourced electrical spares and consumables for the British High Commission in New Delhi. The supplies will support maintenance and operational requirements at the High Commission’s premises, including properties both within and outside the compound. This is a goods requirement covering electrical supplies and accessories (CPV 31680000). The procurement will establish a framework of up to three suppliers, from which the High Commission can obtain items through quick requests for quotation. Suppliers will provide the products listed in the statement of service requirements and pricing schedule, with delivery, quality and service continuity forming important parts of the requirement. The opportunity is suitable for Indian electrical supply businesses, distributors and authorised dealers able to serve diplomatic and government premises.

The procurement has reached tender: the buyer invited offers through an open procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. Enquiries were due by 21 September 2026 at 17:00, and tenders were due by 7 October 2026 at 17:00, submitted through the FCDO e-sourcing portal. The framework is expected to run from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2030 and may appoint up to three suppliers. Its estimated value is £767,934 excluding VAT and £906,162 including VAT. Call-offs up to £3,000 per month may be awarded directly; larger requirements will use a mini-competition. Evaluation is on the Most Advantageous Tender basis: 50% technical and 50% commercial. The award decision was due by 2 November 2026 at 23:59. Rates must remain valid for six months.

This suits businesses legally registered in India and compliant with applicable tax, labour and other laws. Strong candidates will have demonstrated experience supplying electrical spares and consumables to high commissions, embassies, diplomatic missions, government bodies or international organisations, with supporting customer evidence where available. The tender asks for authorised brand, dealership or distributorship letters for specified products, so established distributors and authorised suppliers are well placed. Suppliers must show a practical delivery methodology covering response times from within eight hours through to within 360 hours, depending on the requirement. They must also offer effective service-level arrangements for complaints and escalation, including a three-level escalation matrix with named roles and contact details. Small and medium enterprises and voluntary, community or social enterprises are considered suitable.
