## Summary

St Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge, is seeking roller shutter maintenance services through SSC Partnership, acting as its agent. The requirement covers the repair and maintenance of roller shutters and related electrical and mechanical building installations, including shutter and door installation where required. This is a services contract for the College’s premises in Cambridge. The buyer is St Edmund’s College Cambridge, with SSC Partnership managing the procurement. Suppliers should expect responsibility for maintaining roller shutter systems and associated building equipment, rather than supplying general construction or unrelated facilities services. The opportunity is therefore relevant to specialist roller shutter maintenance contractors, building-services firms with suitable shutter expertise, and consortia able to provide the required maintenance and installation capability.

The procurement has reached tender: the buyer invited offers through a below-threshold open competition. Bidders must submit both the Procurement Specific Questionnaire and the completed ITT response electronically through the In-Tend portal. The tender submission deadline is 28 September 2026 at 12 noon; late submissions will not be accepted. The contract is for 36 months from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2029, with an option to extend by up to 24 months, giving a maximum term to 31 October 2031. There is one lot. The published estimated value is recorded as £0 gross at tender level, while the lot value is recorded as 0 AED. Award will be based on the most advantageous tender, assessed against the detailed criteria and weightings in the ITT.

This opportunity suits contractors with practical experience maintaining, repairing and installing roller shutters, including systems forming part of electrical or mechanical building installations. Businesses should be able to provide a complete response to the ITT and Procurement Specific Questionnaire, follow the stated tender requirements and deliver the required services for a college environment. Specialist shutter-maintenance companies may be well placed to compete, as may facilities-management or building-services providers with proven roller shutter capability. Consortium bids are expressly contemplated, so firms that cannot cover every requirement alone may be able to combine relevant technical, maintenance and installation skills. The successful supplier will need sufficient operational capacity to support an ongoing service over the full contract term and any extension period.
