## Summary

The Financial Conduct Authority is exploring a social media monitoring solution agreement to review and improve its social listening and digital insight capabilities. The requirement is for services covering social media monitoring, digital insight, information technology, media storage and related communications or multimedia software. The RFI will help the FCA validate and refine its requirements, understand what the market can provide and consider different commercial approaches before making future decisions. Delivery is expected across the United Kingdom, including London, Leeds and locations in East and North Ayrshire. This is a service requirement for suppliers of social listening platforms, digital intelligence tools, monitoring services and associated technology.

This procurement is at the planning stage and is currently a request for information and preliminary market engagement, not an invitation to tender. Interested businesses are expected to register on the FCA’s Atamis portal to view the RFI documentation and timetable; the planned engagement milestone is 21 September 2026. The FCA’s expected date for a subsequent notice is 2 November 2026. One lot is planned. The indicative contract period is 10 July 2027 to 7 July 2030, with a possible extension to 7 July 2031. The estimated value is £1,250,000 excluding VAT, or £1,500,000 including VAT. The lot is marked as suitable for SMEs and includes a renewal option.

This engagement will suit suppliers that provide social listening, social media monitoring, digital insight, communications intelligence or related software and technology services. Businesses with established platforms for collecting, storing, analysing and reporting on social and digital data should be well placed to contribute, as should providers able to combine software with implementation, support and insight services. The FCA is seeking to understand available market capabilities and commercial models, so suppliers may benefit from preparing clear evidence of platform functionality, data handling, media storage, reporting and analytical capability. Firms of any size can consider participating, with the planned lot explicitly identified as suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises. No specific accreditation or qualification is stated at this stage.
