## Summary

Trent & Dove Housing Limited is procuring planned and reactive maintenance services for door entry and electronic security systems across its housing portfolio in Burton upon Trent and the surrounding area. The requirement covers servicing, inspections, testing, preventative maintenance, fault attendance, repairs, emergency and make-safe responses, and associated works. Systems include door entry and access control, CCTV serving communal entrances, intruder alarms, warden call systems, automatic and powered doors, gates and barriers, door closers, assisted-opening systems, hold-open devices and automatic-release equipment. The contractor will also provide component replacement, condition and dilapidation surveys, asset validation, certification, electronic reporting, and information on condition, obsolescence and lifecycle requirements to support future investment. This is a building-installations repair and maintenance service, including alarm-system work.

The procurement reached tender: suppliers were invited to submit a request to participate in Stage 1 of a two-stage competitive flexible procedure, with successful suppliers then invited to Stage 2. The deadline for enquiries was 1 October 2026 at 11:00 UTC, and the request-to-participate deadline was 8 October 2026 at 11:00 UTC. Offers are submitted electronically through the eSourcing Data supplier portal. The award decision is due by 13 January 2027. The contract is expected to run from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2030, with two possible 12-month extensions, giving a maximum end date of 31 March 2032. Its maximum estimated value is £600,000 gross over five years. Quality carries 60% and price 40%.

This opportunity suits an experienced contractor able to service, inspect, test, maintain and repair a broad range of electronic security and access systems in occupied housing environments. Suppliers should be capable of responding to routine faults, emergencies and make-safe requirements, replacing components, and delivering planned preventative maintenance alongside reactive work. Relevant technical capability includes door entry, access control, communal CCTV, intruder alarms, warden call systems, powered doors, automatic gates and barriers, door closers, assisted-opening equipment and release devices. The requirement also favours businesses able to complete surveys, validate assets, issue certification, maintain accurate electronic records and provide lifecycle and obsolescence information. Stage 1 assesses conditions of participation; Stage 2 assesses technical quality, social value and price. The procurement is identified as suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises.
