The solution should capture wider benefits that existing assessment tools may overlook, including supply-chain resilience, resource security, customer retention and reduced exposure to market shocks. It should be intuitive and evidence-based, integrate these benefits into business and investment decisions, and produce insights for future support and policy development. The work covers research and development, consultancy, software development and data services, including information technology requirements review. It is intended to build confidence among businesses and investors, accelerate adoption of circular practices and support Scotland’s transition to a sustainable circular economy.
