The aim is to make non-emergency patient transport more reliable and efficient, improve the patient experience and outcomes, reduce administrative work and deliver better value. The requirement covers research and development, IT consultancy, software development and data analysis. Dialysis journeys account for more than 40% of all non-emergency patient transport activity, costing 9.1 million GBP annually. Yet current arrangements can be inconsistent, creating avoidable pressures for patients, providers and NHS services.
