The provider will run a rolling programme across three geographical lots: North Wales, South East Wales and South West Wales. Each lot covers pharmacy-prescriber training for its named area. The programme will address three to four key clinical areas, with one session for each clinical topic in each region. This is an education and training services requirement (CPV 80000000), managed by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership on HEIW’s behalf. Delivery will take place across the relevant parts of Wales, including North Wales, South East Wales and South West Wales. The process reached tender: HEIW invited offers through a below-threshold open competition, with electronic submission allowed. Questions had to be submitted by 6 October 2026 at 16:00, and offers by 13 October 2026 at 12:00. The total estimated value is £100,000 excluding VAT (£120,000 including VAT). There are three lots, each estimated at £33,333.33 or £33,333.34 excluding VAT (£40,000 including VAT). Each contract is due to run from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2030, with an option, at HEIW’s discretion, to extend for a further two years, to 29 February 2032. Evaluation is 40% technical and 60% commercial for every lot. This opportunity suits organisations able to design and deliver specialist clinical skills education for pharmacist prescribers in person. Providers should be capable of supporting both newly qualified and established independent prescribers, adapting teaching across three to four key clinical areas and delivering a consistent rolling programme in the relevant Welsh region. The expected operating scale is three to four full training days per region each year. Each session must support a minimum of eight learners to run and accommodate up to 15 learners, so bidders need suitable trainers, teaching resources, venues or delivery arrangements, and the capacity to manage repeated regional sessions. The lots are identified as suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises and voluntary, community or social enterprises. ## Notice Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) seeks to commission an organisation to deliver a rolling programme of face-to-face Clinical Assessment Skills (CAS) training for both novice and existing workforce qualified IPs, irrespective of sector of practice. This requirement is split into three lots: Lot 1 - North Wales Lot 2 - South East Wales Lot 3 - South West Wales The commissioned provider will deliver a rolling programme of between 3-4 full days per region CAS sessions per year across 3-4 key clinical areas, with one session per clinical topic delivered in each geographical region. Each session will accommodate up to a maximum of 15 learners with a minimum of 8 learners attending to run a session.
