## Summary

The Science Museum Group is seeking an exclusive audio-visual partner for Illuminate, its dedicated event space across levels 4 and 5 of the Science Museum in London. The requirement covers audio-visual equipment and related repair and maintenance services, supporting the space’s event programme. The partner is expected to work with the existing technical installation, which was designed with a previous exclusive AV partner and includes in-house equipment and infrastructure for most event requirements. Suppliers must submit the Preliminary Selection Questionnaire by 5:00pm UK time on 8 October 2026; enquiries close at 5:00pm on 1 October 2026. Up to five compliant, highest-scoring suppliers will be shortlisted for the Invitation to Tender, which is scheduled from 26 October to 5:00pm on 25 November 2026. Responses must be submitted electronically through the Science Museum Group procurement portal and signed by an authorised representative. The estimated value is £6.9 million excluding VAT, or £8.28 million including VAT. The contract is planned for 1 July 2027 to 30 June 2031, with an option to extend by up to two years. In the build period up to that time, and ever since, we have partnered with an exclusive AV Partner who, from a purely audio-visual perspective, assisted in the design of the space and invested significantly in equipment and infrastructure, resulting in a comprehensive in-house technical offering that meets the vast majority of event requirements while providing an ideal platform upon which additional equipment and specialist solutions can be seamlessly integrated when required.
